Spring Cleaning

Spring is here, and it’s the perfect time to refresh your space! The City of Sylvania is hosting three events this season to help residents clean up, declutter, and dispose of unwanted items responsibly.

Free Yard Waste Pickup (City) - April 14-25
No need to buy brown bags or a green yard waste sticker. Use any type of
brown bag, open container, or cardboard box.

Shred Day - Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Municipal Court Parking Lot (6700 Monroe St.).
Residents can bring boxed or bagged documents to the collection site.
Electronic items like computers, printers, and small appliances will also be accepted for recycling.

Spring Unlimited Household Refuse Collection - Monday, April 28, 2025 - Friday, May 2, 2025.
Household rubbish in garbage bags or cans – bags/cans cannot weigh more than 40 lbs.
Included Items: pieces of furniture, appliances, televisions, mattresses, box springs, bicycles, carpet (that is a maximum of 4ft wide - each piece must be rolled or folded, and then tied or taped) Wood that is no longer than 4ft in length and tied in 40 lbs. bundles - all nails/screws must be removed or pounded down.
