- The Ability Center of Greater Toledo - A non-profit Center, located at 5605 Monroe Street in Sylvania, for Independent Living dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve full community inclusion. Serving seven counties in Northwest Ohio—including Lucas, Wood, and Ottawa—the organization provides comprehensive resources ranging from advocacy and life skills to assistive technology. The organization continues to champion systemic change with the goal of establishing the region as the most disability-friendly community in the nation.
- Sylvania Community Services (SCS) - A registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1976 to manage essential early childhood education and senior community programs in Sylvania, Ohio. Founded through a joint effort by the City of Sylvania, Sylvania Township, and the Sylvania School Board, the agency operates multiple state-licensed facilities providing daily enrichment, health resources, and care.
- St. Joseph Catholic Church - Located at 5373 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560. It is the largest Catholic parish in the Diocese of Toledo. The parish serves as a major spiritual and community hub in the area, offering comprehensive ministries, a private elementary school, and extensive faith formation programs.
- Sisters of St. Francis - A congregation of Catholic women, founded in 1916, who live according to the Third Order Regular Franciscan tradition. Based on a beautiful 89-acre campus in Sylvania, Ohio, the Sylvania Franciscans dedicate their lives to ministries in education, healthcare, social justice, and environmental stewardship.
- Northview Theatre Boosters - A dedicated volunteer organization established in June 2007 to fundraise for and support the theatrical activities at Sylvania Northview High School. Located at 5403 Silica Drive, Sylvania, Ohio, the group helps student performers and directors handle production needs, costuming, set builds, and backstage support.
