Sylvania has many parks and recreational attractions, including 50+ acres of parkland, which give residents and visitors a great opportunity to get outside and explore!
- Olander Park - This park has it all; a spring-fed, 28-acre lake that’s perfect for fishing and boating, a 1.1 mile paved, ADA-accessible loop surrounding the lake that’s ideal for walking, jogging, rollerblading and bicycling, three playgrounds, four sand volleyball courts and three facilities that are available to rent.
- Fossil Park - You'll dig it! This 5-acre, ADA-accessible rock quarry allows you to search for world-renowned fossils in a safe, controlled environment. The specimens are already in shale that is soft enough to break with your bare hands, making this an activity nearly anyone can enjoy.
- Sylvania Rec - Opened since 1988, with multiple facilities, Sylvania Rec is for all things sports! Come play with us!
- YMCA/JCC - The YMCA welcomes all. Together, we work to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity.
- Bike Toledo - Come take a ride with us! BikeToledo is a non-affiliated web site for the Northwest Ohio biking community. Our goal is to make Northwest Ohio more bike friendly.
- Whetstone Park - Kick up your heals at the ADA-accessible playground, enjoy an impromptu game in the field, stroll the 0.2 mile paved walking trail, or enjoy a meal at Whetstone’s open air shelter or picnic sites.
- Tam-O-Shanter - Your home for public skating, youth & adult hockey, skating lessons, figure skating, plus other fun events throughout the year!
- Centennial Terrace - Northwest Ohio’s premier outdoor concert and event venue. While holding crowds of up to 3,500, the facility plays host to national acts, regional bands, and other major local events.
- Sylvan Prairie Park - This 320 acre park houses the 3 miles of the Quarry Ridge Bike Trail, making it a perfect spot for biking, walking, jogging and rollerblading. Pets are welcome, so grab your four-legged friend, snap on a leash and hit the trail! Fishing is also available in 2 ponds and sledding hills in winter offer family fun!
